Meeting more family

It has been so nice to be past those first couple of weeks of jet lag and get more settled in with Anna.  She is doing really well - still a long way to go, but we are getting to know her more and more and have fun hanging out with her.  We are still doing lots of tests, therapy visits, doctor visits - but we are getting lots done.  Her 1st surgery is scheduled for July 2nd, and at that time she will have her lip closed.  Later surgeries will address her cleft palate, etc.

Last week David's parents got to come down for a visit and meet Anna for the first time.

I love the total chaos of grandchildren everywhere in this picture...

And what would a visit with the grandparents be without a fierce game of Wahoo?!?

These days Anna's main outings are for medical visits/tests or to attend the boys' sporting events.  I think she has already been to 6 or 7 games.  She generally is pretty content to attend games, except when it gets too humid and hot (which certainly can be an issue in south Louisiana...)  Here she is enjoying time at the game with David:

And I love a shot of a crazy kid jumping in front of the camera...
